10 months

I love this stinkin' picture. If you look closely you can see a single curl in the back of his hair..it's starting to curl up in the back!  To me it looks like Parke is loving the sun on his face, the grass in front of him and the wind blowing like crazy around him. This little boy loves being outside. It's also very similar to his smell the flowers face. It was his 10mo b-day this w/end but since it was also the day of my Granny's 80th and my Dad's bday a post got a little lost in other celebrations!

What is Parke up to? Well, like I said he loves being outside. When we get him out of his bed in the morning and after he eats, he is pointing outside and gibbering something that probably means "can we please go outside now".

Parke is growing like crazy in all sorts of areas. He thankfully gained a pound and grew an inch in a month (they were watching his skinny little self). This leaves him at 17.11 and 29 1/4 inches. I feel like every stage I write about in his baby book it starts with the sentence "Parke, you are so fun." But I feel like that's all I can say about him. He's just awsm. I'm bragging...I know. Back to all things growing:

He still loves black beans, avocado and blueberries the best. He thankfully will eat an egg yolk and a little something else in the morning which makes breakfast pretty easy! He takes 2 naps a day and is doing well with those now that he figured out how to lay down after sitting up or standing in his crib. (He was napping while in a sitting position for about 2 weeks=no naps). Which leads me to my next milestone..he is pulling up on things, standing in his crib and talking away before and after his naps. When we walk in to get him he is just talking and smiling while looking over his crib (if he's not crying). It's probably a whole new world to him right?

He isn't fully crawling. He takes about two little hands forward and a scoot and he's done. He mostly crawls after a ball or towards his books. He LOVES to read! I'm wondering if he loves to read and/or he loves quality time? We'll see.

He is becoming more verbal and says mama (sometimes),dadda (all the time), Papa, Bah (ball), Dah (dog), bye-bye and points to whatever he wants. We are working on him just using 1 finger to touch things so he will learn not to grab everything with a full fist all the time.

BTW: did the time change throw anyone else off? Parke used to be READY for bed at 7 and not too much later. He now prefers to go to bed closer to 8pm and is fine not going to bed at 7. We are working on that a little at a time. I think we are almost to 7:30 again.

I love being Parke's mom. It's just plain fun. I was talking to a friend today and am thankful God has restored our time trying to have Parke with the precious moments we have with him now. I know why some people get pregnant again when their first child is 6-12mo old-it's so fun. We are thankful!
