Parke's 1st Birthday!!

Beware...picture overload!

Parke's birthday party was so much fun. We really enjoyed celebrating our little 1yr. old! We had a mustache party! It all started from a t-shirt I bought for him with a cupcake on it. The face on the cupcake man had a mustache. I told Blake about my little idea thinking he would never go for a mustache party but he did! I think it turned out pretty fun.

I had the shirts above made. In the end, I'm pretty sure I could have done it EASY! We delivered the t-shirts to the kids who Parke invited to the party and asked them to wear their mustache t-shirts when they came.

Instead of a Happy Bday banner we made a banner of all the different mustache names.

Here is the table. We put mustache's on cork board for everyone to tack their polaroid's on. We also had a dip with black beans and guacamole since Parke's favorite foods are black beans and avocado's! We made mustache cookies and then had a few things from Chick Fil A too.

Above is the background we asked for people to stand in front of for their pictures. Not for every single one, but at least one!

This is Parke's birthday banner. I hope to do it as tradition and make him a banner for his door or our front door every year! I also hope to do it for the first day of school. And he will probably get a surprise on his bed too!
We took a picture in front of the tree b/c it decided to show us it's first bloom the day of Parke's party. Pretty cool. (it's the baby's tree)

And the cake eating begins. Or NOT eating cake begins. It turns out Whole Foods will make you a little "smash" cake for 8 bucks! They put a mustache on top for us too. Parke picked at it and decided he was not interested at all.
Don't let the demolition fool you, that was done by me or Blake trying to get him to eat it!

Finally a pretty good pic of me and Parke!

Parke in his tunnel at the end of the party. And the polaroid's below with a note from each family. They are on the note cards that go with Parke's baby book so it will be the final touch to his "baby" book! It's all big kid photo albums from here! Oh yeah, the adults were asked to put mustache's on when they came in the door.

Thanks to everyone who came! Parke was so blessed to have his friends and family celebrate his special day! I had our photographer, Tiffany McGinn come and take pic's the whole time. We should have them in a few weeks so I will post them when we get our little hands on them! Happy first birthday Parke. We love you, we are amazed and thankful the Lord has trusted us with you and could NOT ask for a better time in our lives right now then raising you.
