Can I write this post without a few tears...I think I can, I think I can! 3 months old. My little one is 3 months old. Let me tell you, it's a fun, fun age. I remember when my friend's baby, Adley was 3 months old. We were playing with her at Sara's house and I told Jessica that 3 months was one of my favorite ages. It's so true.
Parke is giggling some, smiling a ton, talking, singing a long at times and playing with toys. He gets this little face when music plays like he is shocked there are sounds coming out of a toy! It's so funny. He has found his fingers and hands. He often has them in his mouth. At first I thought he was still hungry but no, he just loves to figure things out by using his mouth. He also loves to try and fit his blue elephant in his mouth too. Good thing the elephant has a long nose to work with. He also smiles while being swaddled sometimes and loves his daddy to put him to bed at night. Sometimes when we put him down for bed he will fuss while smiling- ha!
This morning Parke was still tired after his 7am feeding. Instead of waking him up I just took advantage of some good sleep time. There was a time when he was little that we often got to have skin/skin or I could at least let him sleep on me one nap a day. I haven't done that as often and so I soaked in every minute this morning. He is so awsm! I just love being a mom to him. I thank God he chose us to be Parke's parents. We don't deserve it. Spending this time slightly messed up our schedule where he fussed during "playgroup" today but it was worth it. Every time we have little moments like this I think "there will be a time when we can't do this, we are going to pause and take advantage of it." Blake was still home and joined us in sitting together this morning. So sweet.
Other happenings from this past week would be my 10 yr. high school reunion!! Are you kidding me. Oh where has time gone! I didn't think I would enjoy it at all but it ended up being fun. Thankfully our sweet friends let us invade their house and my momma came to help with Parke! There was a Friday and Saturday event. This is our family before the Friday night event. Taking pic's with a baby can prove to be difficult. We end up staring and smiling for several minutes why the photographer focuses on Parke. He didn't so much smile for the camera on this one!
Sleeping pictures are just so sweet. You can't beat em'. Parke taking a little nap on the couch.
Here is our family before the Saturday night event. It was so fun to see everyone.
Below are a group of girls I hung out with in high school. I have kept in touch with some of them and see some on a regular basis.

And here's to my mom! We made her a little "going back to school" package! We will miss her tremendously as she goes back to teach her little kindergarten kiddo's. We made her a special treat for each day of the first week. She used to do this for us growing up and I loved it! I am incredibly blessed to have her help us with Parke!

Not only is Parke a lot of fun at this stage, but I think he is the sweetest, happiest baby I have ever been around--and it's because he has a calm, peaceful home and very loving parents who talk to him and play with him a LOT. He obviously feels very secure! :) His sweet smiles just melt my heart!
Thanks for my "back to school" treats and picture board for my special pictures of Parke. They have made it a little easier to go back. After I had a daughter, I always thought it would be wonderful to be best friends with my daughter some day. And that is exactly what you are---God is good! Love you Erynn!
Erynn,
So sweet to read about how things are going with Parke. I loved your "when he was little" reference to holding him skin/skin. I thought, "He is little!" That was cute. Also loved your mom's comment. That blessed my <3.
